Very good use of lighting, and the expression on his face is perfect...
One question...Blood? From a saber wound?
:iconpiraterose:
Yeah, blood from a saber wound? I understand from the mouth, and some cuts.

This actually made me sad. I hate to hear about someone who is killed instead of saved. But she tried at least. Its like a bitter sweet ending. Sucks he couldn't be saved, but at least the bad guy is gone.

I debated on the blood thing. It always seemed weird that lightsaber wounds never ever bleed no mater what the severity... I mean, not even Darth Maul shed a drop of blood, and he was cut in freaking half! For cuts that don't sever major arteries I can definitely understand the no-blood thing, but seriously, the nonbleeding of Darth Maul and Ponda Baba just makes no sense. Since Maraz's aorta has been severed, I decided that despite canon, he should be bleeding a little... I did cut down on the amount of blood here.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted him to be unrepentant up to his last breath. It seems to me that redemption is entirely too common an occurrence...

And as before, lightsaber wounds should bleed a bit if they're serious enough. It makes no sense that they never bleed at all.

Thats fair...and, yeah...Now that I think about it, if you cut fast enough, it wouldn't completely cauterize the wound. I think the reason Maul didn't bleed is because Lucasfilm was trying to make the movie more...kid friendly.

I really like this one. I'm not the biggest Star Wars buff so bear with me but i picture that part in A New Hope where Obi Wan cuts off that guys arm in the bar on Tatooine..doesnt that kind of bleed?

Well, a lightsaber is a laser. When they use lasers in surgery, it is because it cause very little blood. It burns the flesh and closes those blood veins before it can bleed a lot.

Though, it will still bleed just a little. You don't have a lot of blood there, so it makes some sense the more I think of it.

Actually it's not a laser. If it were a laser it would go on forever, not just three feet or so - it has been decided that a lightsaber is more of a plasma fountain.

However, since both a laser and a lightsaber cut by precise burning, it would work the same way in terms of cauterizing wounds.

I don't remember, actually... perhaps it did. But I seem not to remember a lot of bleeding there anyway.
