The title is an archaic term for a practice fencing bout.
I wanted to draw V in those sexy boots he wears in the book. Also, I corrected the mistake the Wachowskis made with V's gloves in that scene - fencers wear their gloves outside their sleeves, to prevent a weapon from going up their sleeves. Granted, V's opponent is normally a suit of armor, but being as formal a man as he is, I'd say he'd observe this practice even so. V for Vendetta (c) people who are not me. |
