Plangkye draws what you tell her to for money!
Art is my only source of income. Please commission me.
Prices -
- Full color, Head-to-toe: $120 and up (depending on complexity)
- Full color, Half-body: $70 and up
- Full color, Headshot: $40 flat
- Clean pencils, Head-to-toe: $65 and up
- Clean pencils, Half-body: $50 and up
- Clean pencils, headshot: $25 flat
- Price is per character - adding a second character to a picture may up to double the price
- Moderate to major variations on the same picture e.g. different weapon options or hairstyles are doable at varying price points based on the nature of the variation
- Addition of color to pre-existing lines (either mine or lines you have purchased from another artist with permission to have them colored later) can be done for the difference in price between my own colored and clean-pencil work.
- Special: Half price for full digital with flat color!

I take payment through PayPal half upfront and half on delivery of the final product. I'll send you an invoice when we have an agreement on exact content and price.
Free services I will provide for customers -
- Any full-color image will be provided in both web-ready and print-ready formats
- Recolor of previously-purchased art
- Minor variations e.g. with and without special effects
- Compositing two or more previously-purchased images into one, e.g. for character lineups
I will consult with you through every step of the creation process to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. Typically this means I'll message you with chicken-scratch pose/proportion concepts for your review after your initial upfront payment is received, and will not progress until you give me the OK that it's what you want, and again - possibly multiple times, if clarifications are needed - for the pencils and colors, with focus on the parts that make a character unique such as bone structure, expression, tattoos, outfit details, or important props. I want you to be satisfied.

What I need from you to begin:
- An email address to put on the PayPal invoice.
- Screenshots are good visual reference, if it's a game character. Mostly, this is all I need and I can do the rest from verbal description.
- Verbal description, especially for characters that lack existing visual references (e.g. "an evening gown and high-heeled ankle boots with fancy jewelry," "eighteenth-century French military uniform," or even "an outfit that looks like it belongs in [insert other canon that has a distinct style here]" etc) and I can extrapolate/design based on that.
- If you do have something very specific in mind, send a photo of that too if it exists. For instance, if your character has a particular tattoo, if there's a particular celebrity or model you imagine having a similar face, this takes away guesswork and makes my job much faster.
- If you have a pose or action in mind, obviously say so - especially if it's two characters. Images of similar poses are helpful but not mandatory.
- If you're ordering two characters in the same picture, I need to know how tall they are so they can be drawn proportionate to each other.
- Please, please give me a few words on your character's general attitude and personality. I don't want a full life story, but some descriptors like "bookish," "focused," "laid back," "genki," "flirtatious," or "Spider-man-like wisecracking" will help me with body language and expression.
What I will and won't do:
- YES: Work with you to get everything perfect. I mean it.
- Fan art if it's a canon I know enough about.
- YES: Characters that exist anywhere along the spectrum of 'fully human' through all levels of anthro-ness straight through semi-realistic normal animal or mythical beast of any species, up to amorphous eldritch abomination.
- YES: Non-human body plans e.g. centaur, extra arms, insectoid, or whatever else.
- YES: Mechanical stuff WITH REFERENCE PROVIDED. Rigid, inorganic shapes are not my specialty and while I don't mind if they're part of your design, they're harder and more time consuming for me to do and I'm not up to the task of being terribly inventive with them, and they will increase the price.
- YES: Blood, wounds, and general body horror to an upper-moderate degree. I draw the line where I have to learn any more internal anatomy than the skeleton. Tetsuo? Sure! But no vivisections, please.
- YES: Sexy pin-ups of any gender, provided the character is an adult.
- YES: Child characters in a wholesome context (e.g. no situations that could be seen as sexual or otherwise too dark)
- YES: Incorporate elements of a particular genre or style on request if such would deviate from my norm ("more anime," "Disney-like," art nouveau, etc)
- NO: Hardcore pornography. Non-sexualized nudity is OK if the character is an adult (Dr. Manhattan, Michaelangelo's David, Birth of Venus).
- NO: complicated architectural elements in scenery; I'm just not confident with that. It takes too long for me to do without charging totally exorbitant prices and you're better off finding someone else.
- NO: Torture scenes. Interrogation and toying with an enemy at a character's mercy is not necessarily torture.
- NO: Vomit. Personal phobia, sorry, non-negotiable. Bleeding/oozing from the mouth is OK but no depictions of violent expulsion of stomach contents.
- NO: Vore or cannibalism.

Hey guys, just a heads-up. I used to have a Neopets account, but I haven't been on it for years and years. Apparently someone else has hacked it and is using it now without my permission - while I don't give a shit about Neopets anymore (she can have the account, I seriously don't care, at least someone's enjoying it), I just want it to be clear that if this person starts impersonating me, say, claiming to be the creator of my artwork, it ain't me.
Hear that, whoever took my account, if you're ever reading this? You can keep the pets, but if you start trying to take credit for MY work? we're going to have problems.

guys I'm scared

I don't even know what I'm saying, just... I love my job but it's part time and minimum wage so it barely covers food/gas/insurance. I want to supplement it with other creative stuff but it's really hard to do when I'm also dealing with everyday maintenance things like laundry and whatever, not to mention it didn't sell when I tried. I want to make a graphic novel of The Interminables but I'm scared it's never going to happen because I have no time. I barely draw anymore as it is. I don't know

Okay so this is kind of making me nervous; bear with me please because I'm a relative noob at this. I'm opening myself for character portraits and simple-ish illustrations. Prices are fairly negotiable but things start at $50 (US) per humanoid figure. I'm aiming to do stuff that's basically like these:

A-OKAY: OCs, game avatars, anthro, weird creatures, animals, super-basic backgrounds, romance involving whatever genders you want, pin-up/cheesecake, action poses, any grit-to-fluff ratio acceptable.
NO GUARANTEES: Celebrity portraits, fan art, mecha/vehicles/machines/etc., creepy shit/body horror, fully-defined backgrounds/scenery especially depicting non-natural settings. I don't have anything against drawing these things, I'm just giving fair warning it may not be up to your standards.
NO: Mimicry of other artists' styles, religious themes, explicit sex, excessive gore (defined as 'I would need to read medical textbooks to get it right' - normal blood and injury is fine), scatological content, personal attacks on individuals or their work INCLUDING celebrities and political figures.
How this goes -
1. Send me a PM here or an email at flashbakes@gmail.com with reference material (screenshots, other art, photos, anything that tells me what I'm doing) and a description of what you're after. The more information you give about your character, the faster I can get started.
2. I will make an ultra-quick chicken scratch thumbnail of a pose/layout and send it to you for approval. If it matches what you want, I'll start on lines.
3. I email you a watermarked web-resolution copy of the lines when they are finished. You tell me if I missed anything or didn't get any shapes quite right and I will fix them. Once everything looks good I begin colors.
4. You send me money through Etsy. I finish colors. When I have money and finished colors I email you a full-resolution, un-watermarked, signed image.
If you want the original lines, we can talk about that too, just be forewarned I use cheap materials so what you'd receive in the mail is a sheet of 8.5"x11" printer paper with ordinary mechanical pencil lines on it.
I'll take on ten of you at a time. Please commission me. I could use the income.

I've been a bad PR helper...

...because UnoSombrero's The Interminables officially hit bookstore shelves over a month ago. You can buy it at Barnes & Noble, on Amazon, or... lots of places I don't know about. If you want it as an ebook, it's available for Kindle too, and an audio book is coming sometime after a voice actor is found to read it.
So yeah, if you want more Hour Thief and Devil's Doctor, go buy it and read it, and recommend it to anyone who likes weird and convoluted stories that you can really immerse yourself in rather than getting just your toes wet.
